Whether you are looking for five star opulence, budget accommodation or something in between, you are bound to find something that will suit your accommodation needs and your budget. The Knight’s Residence is situated in Edinburgh’s old town, situated close to Edinburgh Castle the hotel is an ideal spot from which to enjoy the riches of Edinburgh’s old town. The Knight’s Residence is not a cheap hotel, it is five star accommodations and it is roughly £190 per person per night.
The Hot-el Apartments Cannon Court is a four star rated accommodation and a more affordable stay than some of the five star establishments from £79 a night these family friendly apartments are close to the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh’s New Town.
The Best Western King’s Manor Hotel is close to the Holyrood area of Edinburgh. This is a family friendly hotel with attractive rooms and a full service health spa, including an indoor swimming pool and rates are from £61 a night. Not all hotels publish their average rates. A good number of Edinburgh hotels will want to know when you will be arriving and when you plan to leave. Costs for accommodation in these cases are worked out by both the length of your stay and the time of year when you visit. Good hotel accommodation is highly sought after during the month of the Edinburgh festival and many hotels alter the rates at this time to reflect that.

You will find grand and famous hotels in Edinburgh, particularly in the old town and around the castle area. The old town is a desirable spot but it is possible to find affordable accommodation as outlined above. You’ll find more budget conscious accommodation and apartment complexes along Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and these budget priced hotels stand side by side with five star establishments. If you plan on visiting Edinburgh at the height of the season during the Edinburgh Festival then book well ahead and expect to pay more than the usual rate. |
